Terms of Service

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading or using Paloma, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

Paloma is a location-based reminders app. It lets you create reminders tied to a time, a place, or both, and notifies you locally on your device when they're due or when you arrive at or leave a place.

Subscriptions

Paloma offers an optional subscription, Paloma Pro, with the following options:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the option you purchased.

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). If you purchase Paloma Pro while a free trial is still active, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited immediately.

By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these terms.

Reminders disclaimer

Paloma's reminders, including location-based (geofence) reminders, are best-effort, not guaranteed. iOS notifications can be delayed or suppressed by the operating system depending on factors like Low Power Mode, connectivity, background app refresh settings, or system load, and location-triggered notifications depend on GPS and network accuracy. Do not rely on Paloma for safety-critical or time-critical obligations, medication schedules, appointments with legal consequences, or anything where a missed or delayed notification could cause harm. Use judgment and backup reminders for anything that matters that much.

Acceptable use

Don't use Paloma to violate any law, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with other users. We reserve the right to suspend access for abuse.

Termination

You can stop using Paloma anytime by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms. Since Paloma doesn't use accounts, "termination" mainly means loss of continued app functionality, your subscription, if active, is managed separately through Apple as described above.

Warranty disclaimer and liability limitation

Paloma is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Enzo Varela is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed or delayed reminders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
